This programme is for the following year groups: Year 4-6, Year 7-8, Year 9-10, Year 11-13.

Ngā Raihana – Survival of a Soldier asks the questions: ‘How have technology and science improved what soldiers eat? How are soldiers are provided food while in the field? How much food do you need to survive for 24 hours?’

Compare a modern ration pack with World War I rations, and experience cooking and eating an authentic modern-day soldier ration pack.

Note: Warm clothing and closed-in shoes are needed to participate safely in the programme.
