The story of Le Quesnoy (northern France).  During the First World War, the German army took over the town and remained within its walls for four long years.

In November 1918, the town was liberated by soldiers from New Zealand, with not a single civilian life lost.  The story of Le Quesnoy has become one of the most famous in New Zealand military history and the strong relationship between Le Quesnoy and New Zealand continues to this day.
