Our Kippenberger Research Centre is suitable for year levels 7-13.
The Kippenberger Military Archive and Research Centre is one of the leading military research centres in New Zealand. The archive and library collections are extensive and hold documents and books related to New Zealand’s military heritage dating back from 1840 to the present day.
Many High School students visit the Research Centre to engage with primary and secondary sources in a historical context. Our research staff can support students to extend their information literacy skills to communicate and evaluate knowledge.
Any historical study of significance to New Zealanders can be supported here, with high schools throughout New Zealand visiting to utilise the military collection for their students conducting study for NCEA history.
