In late January the Matt Gauldie: A Retrospective Exhibition opened in the Museum's Mezzanine Gallery.

Matt is the Official NZ Army Artist and is exhibiting works from New Zealand, Afghanistan, The return of the Unknown Warrior and other deployments around the globe. Matt will be in attendance in the Gallery at selected times to encourage young artists to further their career in painting.

In May the 'Last 100 Days of World War One' exhibition, currently displayed in the Hasset Gallery will be replaced by an exhibition on the NZSAS which will include a history of the unit since its inception in 1956, but will mostly concentrate on recent deployments in Afghanistan and will also highlight the tough selection process required to join the unit.

In August the Anne Frank: A History For Today exhibition opens at the National Army Museum. This touring exhibition from the Anne Frank Museum in Amsterdam has already travelled through 150 cities worldwide. The universal appeal of Anne Frank's story unfolds through her diary.

The exhibition provides a chronology of events from the rise of Nazi Germany in 1933 through to the persecution of Jews as part of Hitler's "Final Solution". It is thought provoking and shocking and will impact on all generations.

The exhibition will be on display from 4^th August to 3^rd November.
