When is the Museum open?
We are open everyday (excluding Christmas Day) from 9am until 4.30pm
How long does it take to go through the Museum?
The average visitor spends 1 to 2 hours in the museum.
Can I view my relatives (or my own) donated medals?
Yes. It is preferable that advance notice of a visit is provided to ensure Museum staff are available to assist. Without prior notice delays or the inability to assist may occur.
Can I view other items my family has donated?
Yes, with advance notice.
I would like to donate something to the Museum, how do I do this ?
In the first instance contact the Registrar. We will check if the item/s fall within the scope of our Collection Policy and are required for the Collection. If yes, options include delivery to the Museum in person, sending via courier or mail etc. A donation receipt will be provided once the items are received.
My relative has donated something in the past, can I get it?
No, not normally. The Museum respects the wishes of the donor at the time of the donation, accepting any items received in good faith.
Any request must be in writing, addressed to the Curator.
How much would my artifact/collectable be worth?
We are sorry but Museum staff are not able to give artefact valuations.
Can I take photos inside the Museum?
Yes
